Description

Location: Hamilton, East Kilbride, Cambuslang

Hours: 35 or 17.5hrs per week, permanent

Salary / Hourly Rate: £42,228 - £48,633

To apply for a Social Worker post you will have knowledge of relevant policies, legislation, and guidance together with an ability to assess and manage risk. You must have a Degree in Social Work, Dip SW or other recognised Social Work Qualification. You must be registered with the Scottish Social Services Council.

This post is excepted in terms of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 2003. Overseas Criminal Records Check: An Overseas Criminal Records Check is required where applicants born outside the UK or who have lived or worked outside the UK for a continuous period of three months in the past 10 years. The check must be translated into English and should come from the police, judicial authority, government department or home embassy of the concerned country. The check must include an official statement confirming that the applicant does not have any history of or pending criminal record proceedings. Checks may be carried out to authenticate the documents provided.
