This venue is very well known for its quality of service and food standards, with all day breakfast & fresh food led lunch menus, served 6 days a week 8am-2pm, this position not only offers a genuine fantastic work/life balance, (it is also closed Sundays!) but it is also busy enough & has such a high quality menu that any chef coming from a typical gastro pub or restaurant/hotel kitchen will not be getting bored, which can sometimes be the case with daytime venues, but certainly not this one! Managing a small team of chefs, this is a hands on position, with the head chef leading from the stoves every day. The ideal chef will be able to demonstrate: -A calm & composed personality, with the ability to lead and enthuse the junior chefs during the busy periods, as well as in the down time.-Experience working in a fresh food led café would be the ideal, although experience working in a busy afternoon tea venue would also be of benefit. -An understanding of the latest H&S, Allergen regulations & food trends -Sound kitchen management, rota's, budgets, costings & Menu planning.
