Assistant Technical Officer

The Assistant Technical Officer will work under the direction of the team leader and unit co‑ordinator assisting in the provision of the day‑to‑day cleaning, care and maintenance of all endoscopes and related equipment, ensuring their safe and efficient usage.
* Work in co‑operation with the Theatres, wards and departments to provide a flexible and efficient service that is responsive to the needs of the patients and the Trust.
* At all times ensure safe systems are followed that support patient and staff safety.
* Deliver and collect medical pathology samples and supplies.
Working Pattern
19 hours (2 x 9.5 hour shifts between Monday and Friday).
Person Specification
Preference will be given to staff with Priority and ‘At Risk’ status, including NHS At Risk staff throughout Devon.
