Senior Sous Chef - Champneys Henlow

Main Responsibilities:
1. Assist the Head Chef in managing and running the kitchen, ensuring high standards and team motivation.
2. Support menu development and design, considering the nutritional requirements of Champneys' healthy eating cuisine.
3. Participate in recruiting, managing, training, and evaluating kitchen staff to meet Champneys' standards.
4. Take responsibility for kitchen operations in the absence of the Head Chef, including staff supervision.
5. Update the People System regarding staff hours and complete rotas as instructed.
6. Oversee the preparation and presentation of buffets and menu items.
7. Maintain and improve service standards to ensure guest satisfaction.
8. Train staff on the Champneys healthy eating philosophy and ensure its implementation.
9. Ensure cleanliness and legislative compliance in the kitchen.
10. Order food supplies, check prices, quality, and quantity, and ensure the use of nominated suppliers.
11. Control food costs and minimize wastage.
