Senior Quantity Surveyor (M&E) (Office, Hotel & High-Rise Projects) Salary: £75,000 plus package Location: Manchester (4 days on-site, 1 day in-office) Projects: Office, Hotel & High-Rise Developments We are seeking an experienced Senior M&E Quantity Surveyor to join a highly regarded M&E contractor based in Manchester. This role offers a salary of £75k and involves managing the cost, contracts, and procurement for M&E systems on large office, hotel, and high-rise projects. The role is predominately based on-site, working on projects for a tier 1 contractor. Key Responsibilities: * Prepare cost estimates and budgets for M&E systems, ensuring projects stay within budget and on schedule. * Oversee the administration of M&E contracts, review tenders, manage variations, and ensure compliance with all terms. * Provide regular updates on cost performance, cash flow forecasts, and financial reports for M&E works. * Manage procurement of M&E contractors, suppliers, and materials, and oversee the tendering process for M&E services. * Lead and mentor junior quantity surveyors, ensuring effective communication and smooth project delivery. * Serve as the main contact for financial and contractual matters related to M&E systems, providing regular updates to clients. Key Requirements: * Proven experience in M&E quantity surveying, with a focus on office, hotel, and high-rise projects. * Strong understanding of cost control, contract management, and procurement for M&E systems. * Experience managing the full M&E project lifecycle. * Strong negotiation and dispute resolution skills. * Ability to work 4 days on-site in Manchester and 1 day in the office.
