Pay rate: £40 per hour
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Qualified Social Worker to work in the Permanence Team based in North West. In this role, you will be committed to providing an effective, child-centred service to children in need of support and protection. You will contribute to service strategies, policies, and procedures as required.
You’ll be committed to ensuring positive and sustainable results of your interventions. Using best practices, you’ll strive to provide the best outcomes for children. Most importantly, you’ll have a passion for supporting children and their families to thrive and flourish. Our priority is to protect the most vulnerable and to be as efficient as possible.
Ideal candidate will be:
* Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
* Experienced in working with children and families, including those from vulnerable groups.
* Creative, flexible, and forward-thinking in approach.
* Knowledgeable of Child Protection legislation and understanding of child protection issues.
* Committed to continuous improvement to provide the best outcomes for families.
* Able to use excellent mediation and negotiation skills on behalf of service users.
* Highly skilled at building meaningful relationships with clients to engage them in assessments and plans.
* Dedicated to providing high-quality services to our users.
* Experienced in working within a multi-disciplinary, interagency environment.
* 2+ years qualified experience.
In this role, you will:
* Use your skills, knowledge, and experience to conduct full assessments of risks, protection, and social care needs.
* Manage an agreed caseload.
* Utilize specialist communication skills to achieve optimal outcomes for service users.
* Devise individual care plans, considering diversity and promoting dignity and empowerment.
* Identify risks and the need for protection. Develop, coordinate, and deliver multi-agency plans to meet assessed needs, reviewing them regularly.
Additional responsibilities include identifying unmet needs, engaging professionals and agencies, managing workload within a team, complying with statutory obligations, maintaining accurate records on ICS, participating in supervision and training, and supporting less experienced staff.
