Overview
Housing Services within Stirling Council are recruiting two Plumber/Gas Engineers to join our in-house trade team. We provide Repairs and Maintenance across our housing portfolio, undertake Capital Investment works, Major Adaptations and Refurbishments, and the construction of New Build Housing for our tenants.
The successful applicant will be involved in all aspects of Plumbing and Gas works and undertake Capital Investment works such as kitchen/bathroom installations, new boiler and heating systems, major adaptations and refurbishments of void properties, as well as gas servicing and general repairs/maintenance of existing installations within our properties. The candidate may also be involved in the installation of heating and boilers for the construction of New Build Housing.
The successful candidate must have a full driving licence and must participate in an out-of-hours standby/emergency service.
In order to meet customer expectations, candidates may be offered the opportunity to participate in a four-day rolling shift pattern (four days on, four days off) with an extended working day and enhanced hourly rates.

Responsibilities
* Perform plumbing and gas works within social housing properties and carry out capital investment projects (e.g., kitchen/bathroom installations, boiler/heating system upgrades, refurbishments of void properties).
* Carry out gas servicing and general repairs/maintenance of existing installations.
* Assist with installations for new build housing as required.
* Participate in an out-of-hours standby/emergency service as required.
Qualifications
* Full driving licence.
* Relevant plumbing and gas qualifications for the role.
* Willingness to participate in an out-of-hours standby/emergency service.
* Ability to undergo Disclosure Scotland checks (Level 1) as part of the recruitment process.

Salary: £33,708 - £36,468 | Hours: 35 hours | Location: Allan Water House
