JOB TITLE: Chartered Surveyor
LOCATION: Eastleigh
SALARY: Up to£62,000/annum DOE
The Employer:
We are looking to fill the role of a Chartered Surveyor within a housing environment, Our client is ambitious and have a massive 5 year plan which we are seeking a Surveyor to assist with, their main aim is to create a sustainable future for social housing, building new homes and investing in existing ones creating vibrant, thriving communities.
The Role:
1. As Chartered Surveyor you will carry out Property Surveys to provide solution with repairs.
2. Manage and resolve challenging projects, keeping customer satisfaction to a high standard.
3. Collaborate with contractors, clients, and in-house teams to maintain housing stock to the highest standards.
4. Prepare schedules of work and project management support including quotations in relation to minor/major works where the technical surveying level is appropriate to specify and oversee the resulting works
5. Ensure health and safety compliance across all projects, promoting a culture of accountability and excellence.
6. Provide full technical support to legal department in respect of disrepair or legal claims received
The Candidate will need:
7. As Chartered Surveyor you will need extensive domestic dwelling experience from a technical management perspective, demonstrating an understanding of the built environment.
8. Demonstrates knowledge of health and safety legislation pertaining to management of housing and the construction industry.
9. Knowledge of project management of contracts, including developing formal specifications, contracts and technical information as well as managing health and safety.
10. Chartered status (MRICS)
11. Degree in Building Surveying or related discipline
12. Proven experience in property surveying, asset management, or building consultancy
13. Strong knowledge of UK building regulations, construction standards, and health & safety legislation
14. Good understanding of Microsoft Office software as well as an appreciation of the opportunities presented by software designed specifically for maintenance management
15. Full driving licence and access to own transport, or ability to travel in a timely and efficient manner to attend meetings in locations not easily accessed by public transport
SUMMARY:
This Chartered Surveyor role is being offered on a full time, Permanent basis
Working 37 hours a week.
