Salary: £55000-£60000 Benefits: car pension healthcare Regional Health and Safety Advisor required by a construction contractor. You will provide specialist Health and Safety advice to project teams across the North West and occasionally further afield. Projects are predominantly across the retail sector to well know names and work on a fast track, dynamic basis. Projects can be smaller refresh and refurbishments to major design and build schemes. Regional Health and Safety Advisor Duties: Ensure Client complies with the national statutory Health and Safety requirements. Enhance, improve and implement the existing construction safety management programme and procedures. Provide a review and oversight of construction Health and Safety management procedures, cross- evaluation of projects, sharing lessons learned / best practice, and driving continuous improvement. Assist in the identification and management of high-risk activities, working with contractors in forward safety planning. Review and assess the health and safety implications of changes during construction projects. Develop, implement and report Health and Safety management performance for each project. Carry out Health and Safety audits. Checking RAMS Monitor compliance. Assessment of accidents, incidents and near-miss reporting. As Regional Health and Safety Advisor y ou will need the following experience and qualifications: Experience You will have demonstrable, significant experience gained within a construction contractor environment. Previous retail sector projects would also be beneficial. Your experience to date will enable you make an instant impact and lead the direction of driving standards with confidence. Some knowledge and exposure to Environmental systems and standards would be desirable. Qualifications GradIOSH or CMIOSH status preferred holding NEBOSH Construction, Diploma or similar. Lead Auditor - Desirable Environmental qualification - Desirable.
