Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 am - 5:00 pm
Salary: £23.00 - £24.00 per hour
We are seeking an Electrician to join a local contractor working alongside housing associations to provide high-quality repairs and maintenance services.
Responsibilities:
1. Carrying out a wide range of electrical repairs and maintenance in both occupied and void properties.
2. Installing, repairing, and upgrading small fittings, wiring, and heating systems, ensuring compliance with regulations.
3. Conducting fault finding and diagnostics to identify and resolve electrical issues efficiently.
4. Completing full electrical upgrades and Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) as required.
5. Using a PDA device to record timesheets, worksheets, and details of work undertaken, including materials used.
6. Working safely and professionally in occupied homes, respecting tenants and minimizing disruption.
7. Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, electrical codes, and housing association standards.
8. Coordinating with colleagues, tenants, and site managers to schedule work and maintain smooth operations.
9. Maintaining accurate records of completed works and reporting any additional maintenance needs.
Requirements:
10. Full UK Driving Licence (manual)
11. City & Guilds 2382-22 18th Edition
12. City & Guilds 2365 Level 3 Diploma in Electrical Installations
13. City & Guilds 2391-52 Inspection and Testing or equivalent (preferred)
14. Basic Criminal Record Check (DBS)
15. Own set of tools
