A well:established Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Failsworth is seeking a passionate and resilient English Teacher to join its dedicated team. This PRU provides tailored education for pupils who require smaller class sizes, personalised support, and a trauma:informed approach. Staff work closely together to create a safe, structured and nurturing atmosphere where every pupil can grow academically, emotionally and socially.
The Role
As an English Teacher, you will:

Plan and deliver engaging English lessons across KS3 and KS4

Teach small groups of learners with varied needs
*
Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils
*
Create a calm, structured and motivating learning environment
*
Use behaviour:supportive strategies and restorative practices
*
Work collaboratively with a supportive multidisciplinary team
*
Contribute to curriculum development and pupil progress planning
What Were Looking For
*
QTS or QTLS (experienced or confident ECTs considered)
*
Strong subject knowledge in English
*
Experience in PRU, alternative provision, SEMH, or similar settings (desirable but not essential)
*
A calm, empathetic and resilient approach
*
Ability to adapt teaching to individual needs
*
