We are seeking a Finance Systems Support Analyst to support our critical finance systems as part of the Finance Systems team. The team provides day to day support to all users of Unit 4 across the university. The Finance Systems Team sits within the Finance, Planning and Data Insight section which is responsible for managing the University's income and expenditure, ensuring we get value for money in all financial activity and that we comply with all statutory and regulatory requests.

Duties of the Role
The Finance Systems Support Analyst will provide application and technical support to internal staff for the University’s Finance systems. The role will provide support to assist with system development, reporting, data analysis, upgrades and system implementations.
Skills and qualifications
Applicants are required to hold a relevant degree, be an experienced accounting technician (AAT) or working towards an accountancy/IT qualification with substantial experience.
Being able to identify problems, quickly propose solutions and act as an enthusiastic ambassador of the Finance Systems team is an essential requirement, as is attention to detail. The successful candidate will require an aptitude for working with applications/systems to undertake analysis, diagnosis and resolution of system problems, which may range from straightforward user issues to more complicated technical issues. The post-holder will assist in system testing, ensuring controls are in place to maintain the integrity of data, security, and helping to ensure process and system documentation is complete, up to date and accessible.
