Position: 1:1 Tutor for Students
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Temporary
End Date: Ongoing (definitely until the end of the academic year, with the potential for extension)
Hours: 6 hours per day, 5 days a week (Monday - Friday)
Rate of Pay: 25/ 35 per hour
Term Time Only / During School Hours Only
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver individualized tutoring in Math and English functional skills to the assigned student.
* Implement differentiated instruction tailored to the student's learning needs and abilities.
* Utilize effective behavior management strategies to promote positive learning experiences.
* Foster a supportive and engaging learning environment, addressing SEMH complexities.
* Collaborate with Ackerman Pierce and other stakeholders to monitor student progress and adapt strategies as needed.
Candidate Requirements:
* Available during school hours, up to 30 hours per week.
* Experience in delivering the National Curriculum core subjects (Math, English, Science) to students with complex and challenging needs.
* Knowledge and experience with SEMH, ASC, MLD, and SpLD educational requirements.
* Proven exceptional behavior management techniques.
* Willingness to work face-to-face within the community.
Qualifications:
* Background in teaching English, Maths, Science, or SEN classes at KS1-KS5.
* QTS status (or equivalent) preferred, or unqualified with at least two years of experience teaching National Curriculum core subjects.
* Minimum of 2 years' experience working within a UK school setting, specifically with students having SEMH, ASD, EBD, and associated complex needs.
