The Role
The successful Criminal Solicitor will join this firm’s reputable criminal team. You will be exposed to a range of high‑quality work and gain valuable experience to define your career in this area of law. In addition to handling your own caseload of criminal matters, you will be supported in achieving duty status if you do not already hold the accreditation. The role involves preparing cases at all levels of court, advising clients at the police station, attending Magistrates’ Courts and assisting with Crown Court preparation.
The Candidate
Applications are sought from Solicitors or Legal Executives who have ideally completed at least one seat within crime or are looking for the opportunity to develop a specialism within this area of law. Candidates should have proven technical expertise and an in‑depth knowledge of criminal law, practices and procedures. Demonstrable time‑management and organisational skills, a passion for criminal law, and either duty qualifying or a willingness to work towards duty qualification are required.
