Financial Planning Accountant - South West England
Contract: Initial 3-6 month contract with a view to being extended
Work Schedule: Full time, Monday – Friday
Spencer Clarke Group is partnering with a local authority in South West England to support the recruitment of a Financial Planning Accountant.
Role Brief:
The post is responsible for developing the Council's Medium Term Financial Plan, including modeling future service costs and funding.
Responsibilities include producing the Revenue Budget and Capital Programme, as well as preparing monthly Budget Monitoring Reports for SLT and Cabinet, and quarterly reports for Scrutiny.
What we're looking for:
Fully qualified CCAB Accountant with experience working in a complex organization.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret, explain, and model highly complex financial issues, such as the Business Rates Retention Scheme.
