The Opportunity
We’re seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Associate Producer to help deliver the music program at East Perth Power Station as part of Perth Festival 2026. This hands-on producing role supports the planning and delivery of this major music venue, with a focus on artist logistics, travel, contracting, and stakeholder coordination. Reporting to the Producer, you’ll help ensure artists arrive ready to deliver unforgettable live performances.
Key Responsibilities
* Work with the Producer and partners to finalise the program
* Be a primary contact person for artists and co-presenters throughout the delivery process
* Coordinate logistics, travel, transport, and hospitality for artists
* Contracting & Budget Management
o Manage artist payments, merchandise sales, and reimbursements
o Track and report on delegated budget lines
o Assist in contract preparation and compliance tracking
* Event Operations & Scheduling
o Develop and distribute detailed production schedules
o Coordinate artist requirements with internal teams including Production and Marketing
o Support the delivery of artist functions, community engagement, and merchandise activities
* Marketing & Communications Support
o Liaise with Marketing to ensure timely delivery of promotional content
o Work with artist reps to confirm accurate event and set time details
o Support publicity and content creation needs aligned with Festival guidelines
* Internal & External Relationship Management
o Build strong, respectful relationships with artists, suppliers, and Festival teams
o Participate in planning meetings, debriefs, and contribute to continuous improvement
o Represent the Festival to external stakeholders in a professional and culturally safe manner
You’ll Bring
* Experience in event production, particularly in live music or multi-arts festivals
* Proven ability to coordinate complex logistics in a fast-paced environment
* Strong admin and contract management skills
* Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving abilities
* Comfort managing competing priorities with professionalism and calm
* A high level of cultural awareness and sensitivity, especially when working with First Nations and culturally diverse artists
Special Requirements
* Valid Australian Driver’s Licence (comfortable driving company vehicles)
* Availability for evening and weekend work during the Festival period
