Job Title: Finance Team Leader
Reporting to the Divisional Head of Finance, the successful candidate will be responsible for leading the shared services Accounts Team, overseeing our 8 separate business units from our new premises in Hull.
This role offers the opportunity to shape the financial accounting function of the Motus Vehicle Solutions division and establish strong foundations for future growth.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage the daily operations of the shared service Accounts Team.
2. Foster an excellent working environment for all finance team members, including remote workers.
3. Collaborate with divisional management to meet service level expectations.
4. Maintain and consolidate financial systems.
5. Oversee financial accounting processes, including new supplier and customer account setups and trial balances.
6. Ensure reconciliation of the balance sheet.
7. Guarantee accurate financial reporting and timely month-end closing in accordance with group policies.
8. Prepare month-end financial reports.
9. Work with the Divisional Management Accountant to provide financial data to local management teams.
10. Ensure compliance with internal policies, external legislation, and sustainability reporting requirements.
Candidate Requirements:
1. Experience leading and motivating a small team, including remote workers.
2. Experience working in a busy accounts department managing multiple sites/businesses.
3. Advanced proficiency in Excel.
4. Experience aggregating data from multiple systems.
5. Ability to meet tight reporting deadlines.
6. Experience with month-end processes.
7. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
8. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
9. Strong communication skills, capable of presenting financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
ACCA qualification or equivalent is highly advantageous.
