This role is based within Business Technology Solutions (BTS) and is a full-time position working 36 hours per week.
You will earn a competitive salary of £28,251.00 to £31,179.34 pro rata and have access to a range of benefits including local and national discounts for supermarkets, restaurants, and retail.
An exciting opportunity to join the Collaboration and Productivity Solutions (CaPS) Competency Centre in BTS, and work with Microsoft technologies to deliver savings and efficiencies across the Council.
You will play a key role in developing, testing, and implementing solutions that harness the full potential of Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, streamline workflows, and create custom applications that enhance efficiency and decision-making.
Key responsibilities will include:-
1. Day to day support of solutions managed within the Team
2. Development, testing and implementation of solutions
3. Collaboration with colleagues across the Council to empower them to develop their own solutions
4. Assisting in the delivery of key projects and programmes
5. Stay updated on the latest features, updates, and best practices within the Power Platform ecosystem
We are currently working in a blended working environment with a mix of home working and office days.
The Person
Educated to SCQF level 7 which includes HNC or Advanced Highers or equivalent, preferably in computing or a related subject or equivalent experience
Experience in the development and use of IT solutions and tools that meet business needs.
Experience in the production of clear and detailed documentation for customers and colleagues.
Understanding of the application lifecycle.
Requires the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment and work independently as needed, depending on the nature of the tasks.
Demonstrate a commitment to fostering continuous learning, staying abreast of the latest features, and adhering to best practices within the Power Platform.
