The Role: Technical Sales Engineer – IR
In This Pivotal Role, You Will
* Identify and secure new business opportunities within the Australian Industrial Refrigeration & Heat Pump marketplace
* Develop and execute sales strategies aligned with business objectives
* Provide market insights, including competitor activity and industry trends
* Work closely with engineering and project teams to develop designs, costings, and proposals
* Use specialist selection software to optimise equipment choices
* Build strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to determine pricing and solutions
* Manage the end‑to‑end sales process, including SFDC management, bid development, and legal reviews
* Represent the business with the highest standards of professionalism and integrity
* Ensure full compliance with Johnson Controls’ Safety and Ethics Policies
What We’re Looking For
Ideally, you will bring:
* Experience in industrial refrigeration, including product knowledge, design, or solution sales
* A degree in Engineering or a related field (preferred but not essential)
* 3+ years Technical Sales experience
* Outstanding communication skills
* Strong negotiation abilities and a consultative approach
* Commercial awareness and strategic thinking
* The ability to build trust quickly and influence stakeholders at all levels
* A proactive, collaborative, and customer‑focused mindset
