An established design and build business is looking to appoint an experienced Architectural Technician to join its commercial interiors team, delivering high-quality office fit-out projects from technical design through to completion.
This role will suit someone with strong technical ability and a solid background in commercial fit-out, ideally with experience working across later project stages and producing coordinated drawing packages for delivery on site. You will be involved in the technical development of schemes, consultant coordination, and ensuring all information is accurate, compliant and buildable.
The Role
You will work on commercial office fit-out projects, taking schemes through the technical and delivery stages. The position will involve producing construction drawings, coordinating technical information with consultants and specialists, and supporting the project through to completion.
You will be expected to liaise with clients, contractors and the wider design team, ensuring information is well organised and deadlines are met. The role would suit someone comfortable working independently in a fast-paced design and build environment.
Key Requirements
* Strong experience within commercial office fit-out or interior architecture
* Good AutoCAD ability
* Strong construction detailing knowledge
* Experience producing full construction drawing packages
* Confident coordinating with MEP, AV, IT, acoustics and fire consultants
* Good understanding of Building Regulations, fire strategy and compliance
* Strong surveying and site-based experience
* Good organisational and document control skills
* Strong communication skills with clients, contractors and consultants
* Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently
* Full UK driving licence and own vehicle

* Bespoke joinery detailing
* Building Control and statutory approvals
* Design and build or fast-paced commercial project experience
* Familiarity with site processes and fit-out sequencing
