About the role
This role is based at the Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS FT- Clinical Engineering and DEMS Northampton with attendance at Milton Keynes College for academic studies.

Tasks
Assists the MVS team in the day-to-day running of the Clinical Engineering department. The role includes fulfilling and managing the Hospital Trust Installed Base with the help of relevant Trust and Draeger asset management software systems, also carrying out all pertinent tasks for customer communication and order management (e.g. order entry). Call handling of all incoming customer calls – 80% of all requests should be handled immediately.
Tasks and Responsibilities
• Handling of general customer inquiries
• Order Management - from entering incoming orders into the ERP system.
• (e.g. SAP) up to invoicing
• Local product handling, purchasing and logistic coordination.
• Order entry, verify order.
• Maintenance / Service contract administration (e.g. scheduling)
• Administration and follow-up of orders and service reports
• Scheduling of 3rd party contractor visits
• Logistic and purchasing tasks, local product handling.
• Inventory management- MVS spare on eQuip or similar database.
• Administration of Trust PPM flow chart and follow up.
• Creating new Device Commissioning on Draeger and Trust database software systems
• Asset Disposal follow up with customers/departments.
• Task completion with engineer’s documentation on database software systems (e.g. test cards)

· Maintenance Planning & Scheduling (Classic & MVS)
· Managing Cross-Charge workflow
· PPM Follow up processes

Size of team/environment - MK MVS Team comprises 9 team members managing over 12000 assets spread over the MKUH NHSFT with over 3600 NHS staff.
Your Qualifications
Role Requirements
Education/Qualifications
· Minimum of A-Level/ with exposure to customer service, Database Management, MS Excel data, MS Office, and Customer Management Training/Experience.
Related Experience
· Used to deliver high customer care and deal face-to-face with customers.
· Desire to work in an Engineering role.
· Self-Motivated
· Methodical
· Capable of working in a team and to deadlines
· Experience with SAP
· Asset base management software systems (Equip)
· NHS administration role experience preferred
Skills, Special Competencies
· Ability to organize and prioritize to meet a wide range of diverse & demanding activities.
· Familiarity with MHRA Device guidelines
· Good time management skills to allow continuity of process whilst multi-tasking.
· To follow all the Trust Security policies and procedures and be vigilant to ensure a safety and secure environment for care.
· Good communication and negotiating skills, both written and verbal, are essential for effective communication at all levels with internal and external contacts.
· Expect contact with patients and distressing situations as part of normal duties.
· Assertiveness skills
· Good IT skills, including device network configuration and settings.
· To be reliable, honest & trustworthy, and always act as an ambassador for the company.
· Familiarity with medical equipment desirable
· Familiarity with infection control and prevention in the medical equipment application/use.
