We are looking for an experienced Principal Hydraulic Modeller to take on a challenging array of projects across a variety of sectors, based in the vibrant, historic city of Exeter.

Responsibilities
 * Oversee and manage a team of high-performing professionals in the delivery of a variety of projects
 * Manage and audit colleagues' projects and productivity rates
 * Produce hydraulic models, supervise, check and verify other colleagues' models and surveys
 * Analyse and interpret data, using a variety of software systems, and prepare/check and publish reports
 * Supervise generation of plans utilising MapInfo
 * Manage client and stakeholder relations
 * Represent the company at site visits and other meetings
 * Flexibly manage a varied selection of projects
 * Manage costs, resources, and project delivery
 * Adhere to and enforce industry standards, regulations, and health and safety protocols at all times
Required Skills and Experience
 * A Bachelors or Masters Degree in Hydrology, Civil Engineering, or a similar, relevant field
 * Extensive experience working in a design-based role within a UK consultancy (or Local Authority) setting
 * Experience of wastewater modelling
 * Outstanding proficiency in InfoWorks ICM (1D and 2D) and other relevant software packages
 * Demonstrable experience of having managed both people and projects
 * Experience of managing client/stakeholder relations
 * Full, valid UK driving licence
 * Chartered status/membership of an appropriate, recognised professional body
Desirable Skills and Experience
 * Good knowledge of the local area and surrounding region
 * Excellent working knowledge of a range of other software systems used within the flood risk, drainage, and hydrology sectors
