Procurement Engineer, Samlesbury; 15-month contract; £21.38 ph. paye; Inside IR35 
 We currently have a requirement for a procurement engineer to join a busy team working with our aerospace sector client based near Preston. The role will require the postholder to deal with high volume requirements within a fast-paced environment. 
 Role Responsibilities 
 Develop and maintain supplier relationships, manage supplier performance and improvement activities. 
 Manage the order book from order placement to delivery, including the identification and resolution of issues which may potentially affect the supply of parts 
 Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal customers 
 Regularly review stock levels against consumption to ensure that the range and scale available aligns with current requirements. 
 Working closely with other functions across the business to manage the production order book. 
 Typical duties include (but are not limited to): 
 The successful candidate will be required to perform tasks suitable to the internal level of this role. 
 The role will contain, but will not be limited to, the following: 
 Raising purchase orders 
 Regular communication with suppliers 
 Maintain order book information 
 Ensure prompt payment of invoices 
 Provide updates to internal customers 
 Knowledge 
 Procurement experience 
 Skills 
 Good communication skills to provide effective stakeholder management 
 Microsoft office skills with a focus on Excel 
 Desirable: 
 Experience with ERP/MRP systems and reporting toolsets
