Kenect Recruitment are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our longstanding client based in Leicester, in the engineer industry.
Shifts: Monday to Friday
Shift times: Day shifts
Pay rate: starting from GBP16ph
Duties
* Fabricate metal components according to specifications and drawings.
* Assemble parts and structures using hand tools and power tools.
* Perform welding tasks.
* Utilise sheet metal and other materials effectively in fabrication processes.
* Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure compliance with industry standards.
* Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the fabrication process, making necessary adjustments.
* Working components : Conveyor belts etc
* Nights out/ working away : as and when required (occasional)
Requirements
* Proven experience in fabrication and welding, with a strong understanding of mechanical knowledge.
* Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
* Experience working with sheet metal is advantageous but not essential.
* Experience in the technical sector
* Experience in working with bespoke items : ranging in size
* Experience in Shot blasting/ Press break would be advantageous.
