What you'll be doing
Role Purpose
To lead and manage the project in accordance with the BBK Strategic Plan. Responsible for the overall profit and loss of a complex project(s) whilst ensuring the highest standards of safety, sustainability, environmental and quality are implemented. To maintain a collaborative working environment which ensures client, internal and other stakeholders requirements are effectively managed and employees feel motivated and engaged to deliver.
As the successful Senior MEP Project Manager, you will have the following accountabilities:
1. Delivery of the BBK business strategy and objectives on your tenders and outperform on key success measures
2. Manage commercial and business risks to achieve targets
3. Understand the relevant commercial terms and conditions for each project/tender.
4. Pro-actively manage the customer relationship during tender and delivery, including change and decision making to effectively manage expectations
5. Leadership of Zero Harm and drive for continuous improvement across SHEQ
6. Collaborate relentlessly to ensure best opportunities for BBK are targeted and that the resources are utilised in the most efficient way.
7. Show clear and visible leadership and display the right leadership behaviours
8. Develop and support the operational teams to be successful by talking positively, listening actively and encouraging constantly
9. Work collaboratively with the Contract Managers and ELT to deliver BBK strategic objectives and enhance solid working relationships as one team across the business.
10. Planning, controlling and managing the delivery of projects utilising the necessary resource and skills, within the agreed parameters of cost, timescales and quality
11. Instil a strong safety culture and develop the capability of our project teams to take personal responsibility through strong visible leadership
12. Drive yourself and others to comply with all business policies, procedures and governance
13. Day to day management of client expectations whilst promoting the value we bring
Who we're looking for
14. Proven experience at Management Level
15. Experience of Management and Delivery of M&E projects
16. Strong People Management
17. Proven track record in tendering and managing complex projects, including sub-contractors
18. Commercial awareness with knowledge of both budgetary and Financial control
19. Excellent relationship management skills
20. Comfortable with ambiguity, able to tease out sensitive issues and lead cross-functional teams towards solutions
NB. Due to the nature of our projects, we require individuals to hold UK Citizenship and a valid UK passport with full work rights for here in the UK, coupled with being eligible to obtain SC level Security Clearance.
