Overview
Are you a skilled 7.5 Tonne (C1) Driver looking for a new challenge with a reputable company? GXO, in partnership with B&Q, is looking for highly experienced 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our Store to Home team in Darnley, Glasgow (G53 7RJ). This is a full-time, permanent role with a two-week rotating shift pattern: Week 1 – Monday to Friday / Week 2 – Sunday to Thursday, starting at 11:00. The contract is 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities
* Work as part of a two-person team delivering products to customer premises (room of choice) on a multi-drop basis – average of 16 drops per day off peak and 24 drops per day in peak season
* Maintain accurate driving/working time records using the Tachomaster system and manual entries to comply with WTD regulations
* Operate company vehicles in a safe, legal, and efficient manner
* Check off products on delivery and ensure the customer receives the correct products and delivery documentation
* Keep customers informed of estimated delivery times and communicate any issues in a polite and courteous manner
What you need to succeed
* Previous experience in multidrop, store deliveries preferred but not essential
* Full UK driving licence with category C1 entitlement
* No more than 6 penalty points (no DD, DR, DG, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT endorsements)
* Up-to-date CPC and Digital Tachograph
* Excellent customer service skills, both written and verbal
* Willingness to undertake pre-employment Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
* Be prepared to commute to Darnley, Glasgow (G53 7RJ) for the required shift pattern
