Glasgow (Glasgow City)
Ashurst

Offer description

The Opportunity

The Global Sourcing & Procurement team supports operational functions across Ashurst's global office network, maximising the value of the firm's third-party spend and managing risk across its indirect supply base. Working alongside business stakeholders, the Office of General Counsel (OGC), and Risk & Compliance, the team ensures that all third-party expenditure is incurred in accordance with Ashurst's internal processes and risk appetite.

The Procurement Lead role is a permanent position within the team, reporting to the Senior Procurement Manager. You will be a hands-on procurement professional managing your own portfolio of categories and projects, while also acting as a trusted adviser to stakeholders across the business.

This is a full-time, permanent role based in either our London or Glasgow office with hybrid working.

We are interested in hearing from people who:

1. Have demonstrable experience in indirect procurement, ideally gained within professional services, corporate real estate, or a similar environment with a broad category remit.
2. Are procurement generalists, comfortable managing a varied portfolio spanning multiple spend categories and levels of complexity.
3. Possess strong commercial acumen, with proven ability in commercial and contractual negotiation.
4. Have excellent communication skills, and the ability to challenge and influence stakeholders at all levels of the business.
5. Have good understanding of contract management principles and are process-driven, with a focus on implementing repeatable and consistent approaches.
6. Are comfortable working across multiple projects with multiple stakeholders simultaneously, demonstrating strong initiative and a drive towards embedding best practice.

What makes Ashurst a great place to work?

We offer you all the things you should expect from an international law firm, some of which include:

7. competitive remuneration with the flexibility to reward high performance;
8. flexible working;
9. corporate health plans;
10. a global professional development offering for all employees; and
11. an industry-leading programme that celebrates diversity and inclusion.

We are committed to delivering positive impacts to our communities through our Social Impact programme.

We aim to recruit, retain and promote the best people from the widest possible talent pools. We are committed to offering a safe and welcoming environment for all employees to ensure they are supported to work at their best.

Beyond this, what sets Ashurst apart from others is our global strength, our drive to innovate and collaborate, and our commitment to excellence. It is these values that make Ashurst a unique place to work.
