Attendance Officer / Progress Assistant (Support Staff Contract) (PERMANENT) • Salary: Grade 5 (SCP 11-19) (37 hours per week for 40 weeks) • Actual Salary: £24,239 - £28,243*
*2025/26 April Pay Award to be applied
Whitchurch High School is looking to appoint an exceptional Attendance Officer/Progress Assistant, (ratio to be determined) from September 2025. As an Attendance Officer you will work in partnership with our current attendance officer supporting the attendance and welfare of students and families from our Primary School Transition Cluster. As a Progress Assistant you will assist the Assistant Headteacher and Progress Leader with monitoring the academic progress of students, their welfare, development, punctuality, attendance and behaviour.
The role is a full-time permanent role, and each aspect is essential in supporting the day-to-day running of the school, ensuring that we foster a culture of belonging in which we promote high standards and expectations of all our students.
The attendance and wellbeing of our students is paramount in ensuring that students make strong progress across the curriculum and fulfil their potential. The foundation of this role is in building positive relationships in which we successfully shape the lives of young people and develop the Four Purposes of the Curriculum for Wales.
