We have an exciting opportunity for a BANK Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy team at HMP Fosse Way.
HMP Fosse Way opened in May 2023. Its state‑of‑the‑art design and facilities offer a secure environment to provide skills and qualifications to the men, enabling them to secure meaningful employment on release with the aim of reducing reoffending rates.
HMP Fosse Way is a male prison with a capacity of 1930. The pharmacy is set up within the healthcare department with medication hatches and you will be working as part of a team of 15 within the pharmacy team.

* Monday - Sunday
* 07:00-18:00 (Monday-Friday)
* 07:30-18:30 (Weekends)

* Weekdays £21.76
* Weekends £23.61
* Bank Holidays £28.33

Candidates are required to have a legal right to work in the UK and, due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.
Main duties of the job
* Provide outstanding quality‑based patient‑centred care to our patients, seeking out, listening to and acting on their feedback so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them.
* Ensure a safe and secure medicines management service, maintaining patient medical records to the agreed standard at all times and following standard operating procedures to a high and orderly standard.
* Deliver non‑judgemental care within professional standards, including timely administration of medicines and analysing cost‑effective prescribing as defined through our unique Health in Justice medicines policy.
* Make a real difference by working as a key member of a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.

* NVQ Level 3, or above, BTEC or equivalent
* Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council
* Up to date with Continual Professional Development (CPD)
* Relevant post‑qualification pharmacy experience
* General GCSE education or equivalent
* Able to work unsupervised whilst following policy and procedures
Although not essential, ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
