We are looking for a highly organised and motivated Medical Administrator to join our team. In this vital role, you will provide administrative support to clinical staff, manage patient records, schedule appointments, and act as a key point of contact for patients and professionals. Main duties of the job
* Provide comprehensive administrative support to clinical teams, including typing letters, reports, and clinical documentation.
* Schedule and manage patient appointments.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in line with data protection and confidentiality policies.
* Act as a first point of contact for patient and external enquiries, handling telephone calls, emails, and correspondence professionally and sensitively.
* Support the coordination of meetings, including preparing agendas, taking minutes, and circulating documentation as required.
* Liaise with internal departments and external agencies to facilitate smooth communication and service delivery.
* Support data collection, reporting, and audits to ensure compliance with service standards and targets.

Qualifications
* RSA 3 Word Processing or equivalent level of experience in practice.
* NVQ3 in administration or equivalent level administrative knowledge and experience.
* GCSE English or equivalent.
* Evidence of continuing professional and personal development.
* ECDL (European Computer Driving Licence).
* Shorthand or Speedwriting.
* AMSPAR or BSMA Certificate in Medical Terminology or equivalent qualification.
Experience
* Excellent organisational skills.
* Ability to prioritise workload and adapt to change when required.
* Experience of working as part of a team.
* Previous experience of working within an administrative or secretarial team.
* Experience of dealing with confidential and complex information.
* Ability to take accurate formal and informal minutes.
* Demonstrate good numeracy and literacy skills.
* Experience of general office routine and filing systems.
* Previous NHS experience of working in a Healthcare or Social Care administrative setting.
* Experience of Audio transcription.
