Software Developer
Profectus Recruitment is supporting a client that's building out a new wave of digital products, and they're looking for an engineer who enjoys variety and wants to work on meaningful technical challenges. The environment is collaborative, fast-moving and ideal for someone who likes taking ownership of their work.
The role:
You'll be involved in creating and improving a collection of internal and customer-facing applications. Expect to work across multiple layers of the stack, help shape how systems interact with each other, and contribute to smoother deployment and delivery processes. The work ranges from building new features to streamlining existing workflows.
Day-to-day you might:
Build and refine application components across both server-side and UI
Work closely with wider teams to bring ideas through to working solutions
Connect different systems and services to keep information flowing reliably
Help improve automation, testing routines, and general engineering processes
Support good documentation and contribute to ongoing technical improvements
We'd love to speak with people who:
Have experience with modern programming languages, ideally Python or JavaScript
Understand how to ship software in a structured, repeatable way
Enjoy collaborating with different disciplines - product, ops, engineering etc.
Communicate clearly and think practically about solving problems
Familiarity with cloud platforms or integration work
Useful extras (not essential):
Any experience with low-code tools or workflow automation
Background working in environments with strong quality or compliance processes
Working setup: Hybrid role with time on-site in Berkshire when required.
