Tailoring to a high specification, they offer a unique and personalised service to their discerning clientele. You will be part of a respected, evolving family business with a strong reputation, as they expand into new areas of the industry
As Store Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of the retail environment. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing, specialist business at the forefront of traditional tailoring and bespoke uniform services.
The Role:
* Overseeing all daily store operations to ensure a smooth and efficient retail experience
* Delivering outstanding customer service with a focus on quality, discretion, and professionalism
* Managing, motivating, and supporting a small team to meet sales targets and maintain high standards
* Coordinating fittings and tailoring services, liaising with clients and tailors as needed
* Managing inventory, stock levels, and liaising with suppliers
* Working closely with the owner to help drive the business into new areas.
* Learning to take precise measurements and fulfill uniform orders with attention to detail
* Assisting walk-in customers with made-to-measure suits and general product purchases
* Maintaining the shop floor, ensuring it is clean, organised, and fully replenished
* Managing the team and performing quality control from seamstresses (you will be provided with training)
* Handling telephone inquiries and processing orders confidently and professionally
* Supporting dry cleaning services and operating the POS system
About You
* Proven experience in retail management, preferably within tailoring or luxury retail
* Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
* Hands-on and proactive
* Excellent communication and organisational abilities
* A passion for high-quality craftsmanship and personalised service
* Flexible and reliable
* A keen eye for detail
* Knowledge of retail systems
* Must be DRB checked (Disclosure and Barring Service) or willing to undergo a DRB check due to the nature of our work with school-age clients
