About the Role
We are recruiting for permanent, full time Consultant Social Workers in our Family Help Teams in Rugby, Warwick, Stratford, Nuneaton, Bedworth and North Warwickshire. You will specialise in child protection and court work. You will work with less experienced social workers and family practitioners to direct and oversee case work ensuring all court preparation is clear, relevant, specific and timely. You will hold allocated families of your own to work with. Liaising with legal services, offering support and challenge to build confidence in those less experienced practitioners to ensure the best outcomes for our children, young people and families.
Key Requirements
* Professional Social Work qualification and Social Work England Registration.
* Previous experience of court preparation and child protection.
* Minimum of 4 years post qualifying experience.
* Driving is a requirement of the role.
* On occasion you may need to work outside of core hours to deal with emergent issues e.g. an emergency application to court.
Salary
Salary up to £53,769 per annum which includes a £3,500 pro‑rated annual market supplement subject to pension, tax and NI deductions. Ts&Cs apply. Plus a Relocation Allowance up to £8,000 may be available if the relevant policy criteria are met. Ts&Cs apply.
About the Team
Our district based locality Family Help Teams work with a range of families including those in need of Family Help Assessment, Targeted Early Support, Children in Need, those who are on the Edge of Care or Child Protection and Court, and children in care until they have a plan of permanency outside of their parents care or with a plan of reunification home. Our Family Help Teams are multi‑agency with Family Support Worker, Family Practitioners, Social Workers, Systemic Consultants, Police Community Support Officer’s and soon NHS Nurse’s – all working together to meet the holistic needs of our families to reduce risk and keep families together.

Our approach is about locality working, multi disciplinary and multi agency teams that support the whole family. Building strong partnerships with local services, Health, Police and Education.
