Pay starts from £12.45 an hour; this increases to £13.66 for stores within the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.
It is our policy to offer new colleagues joining us a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, but if you would like to work fewer hours (to a minimum of 12) we have opportunities for this too and would still love to hear from you.
The weekly availability windows define the times we would like you to be available to work. We will schedule your contracted hours within these times, and you will have 3 weeks' notice of exactly when your shifts will be. We are happy to support flexibility for our colleagues; if your availability matches closely but not exactly to the advertised times, we would still love to hear from you.

Your responsibilities
* Know your customers and serve them with passion and pride; provide great natural service
* Be knowledgeable about products and services in the store
* Work across the store in service, picking and replenishment areas as required
* Apply training to work safely, effectively and deliver excellent customer service
* Make decisions that are right for customers and deliver store routines that meet customer needs
* Participate in seasonal, community and charity events to create an inclusive atmosphere
* Be aware of store performance and contribute to reducing waste, shrinkage and delivering profit
* Handle products with care to maintain quality and ensure they reach customers in good condition
* Represent Tesco values and follow policies
* Occasionally assist with deliveries into the store
