Overview
This role is for an SIA Licensed Security Officer to be trained and deployed across client premises to assist with holiday and sickness cover, with potential progression to a fixed shift pattern. The role involves working various hours across sites in the Bognor Regis area.
What you will do
* Maintain overall surveillance of the site, carry out regular site patrols and record as required.
* Brief and sign in visitors and contractors; manage sign in/out processes.
* Record entry/exit of deliveries and process documentation in line with site quality procedures.
* Ensure patrols are carried out to the required standards.
* Set and unset primary and secondary alarm systems for out-of-hours security provision if applicable.
* Comply with site waste management procedures.
* Complete documents including daily occurrence logs, shift handovers, incident/accident records and site-specific reports.
* Familiarise with Assignment Instructions, Risk Assessments and other quality & safety documents; advise the Corps Duty Manager and/or client personnel on changes or improvements.
* Maintain training records via Corps Colleague Portal; ensure first aid and fire marshal training are up to date as per legislative guidelines.
* Continuously apply SIA skills and maintain a high level of professionalism; display SIA licence at all times.
* Perform ad hoc duties as directed.
What you will need
* Excellent communication skills with a strong customer focus.
* A valid SIA Front-Line License - essential.
* Confidence and ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships at all levels.
* Ability to work to deadlines, multitask and work under pressure.
* Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Office (e.g., Excel).
* Able to meet BS7858 vetting standards.
