Responsibilities
* Lead and supervise the kitchen team to ensure efficient food preparation and service
* Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food production, presentation, and quality control
* Manage food safety standards in compliance with health regulations and company policies
* Train, mentor, and evaluate kitchen staff to promote professional development and teamwork
* Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
* Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock control to minimise waste
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen environment in accordance with hygiene standards
* Assist in cooking and food preparation as needed during busy periods or special events
Requirements
* Proven experience in a culinary role within a restaurant or hospitality setting
* Supervising experience with the ability to manage a team effectively
* Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling
* Extensive culinary experience including food preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation skills
* Demonstrated leadership qualities with excellent organisational skills
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards
* Experience in menu development, food production, and hospitality service
* Good communication skills with the ability to motivate team members and coordinate with other departments
* Previous experience in restaurant or catering environments is highly desirable
