We’re expanding our team at our Harrow Branch and are looking for a dependable Van Driver/ Branch Assistant to help us continue delivering excellent service to our trade and retail customers. The Role We currently have a new opportunity for a Van Driver / Branch Assistant to join our Harrow branch. Offer a high standard of service to customers who attend the branch, attending to their orders and enquires. Always maintain good technical knowledge of our product range and endeavour to maximise customer sales. Assist in the loading of vehicles and making deliveries to sites and customers. Collecting and/delivering goods to and from other branches. Assisting in the yard area with deliveries and assisting customers where necessary Responsibilities and Duties Dealing with orders and enquiries received from customers and potential customers. Processing customer telephone orders that come into the branch. Offering a high standard of customer to maximise sales and customer satisfaction. Adopting a pro-active approach to maximise sales to existing customers. Actively making enquiries with customers who are not trading with Grant and Stone by exploring new sales opportunities where possible. Resolving customer queries, investigating complaints, and resolving these as soon as possible. Overseeing customer orders and helping to make sure orders go out in a good time frame Be proactive in maintaining up to date technical knowledge of all products sold, ensuring that product knowledge is kept up to date with any technical product updates and changes. Ready to jump in, learn and become part of the business Perform general warehouse duties in order to maintain a smooth operation Attend training relating to the role if requested by the Company. Observe strict adherence to the Company’s health and safety procedures at all times. Undertake additional or alternative tasks and duties in line with the branch requirements.
