Reporting to the UK Sales & Business Development Manager, the role of the rental sales engineer offshore, will use product technical knowledge along with sales skills to provide advice and support on a range of ACR Rental products. They will assist colleagues with bids and tenders for new clients from a technical perspective. The role will require individual meetings with clients and potential clients to discuss/review rental business in a technical and commercial aspect for the company.

Key responsibilities:

1. Identify current and future customer service requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual customers.
2. Provide product, service, or equipment technical and engineering information by answering questions and requests.
3. Prepare cost estimates by studying P&ID, Project plans.
4. Determine improvements by analysing cost-benefit ratios of equipment, supplies, or service applications in customer environment; engineering or proposing changes in equipment, processes, or use of materials or services.
5. Submit orders by conferring with technical support staff; costing engineering changes.
6. Prepare sales engineering reports by collecting, analysing, and summarising sales information and engineering and application trends.
7. Ability to creatively explain and present complex concepts in an easy to understand manner.
8. Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in O&G rental air compressor solutions and O&G rental market.
To succeed, you will need
9. BA/BS degree or equivalent, preferably with an engineering base.
10. A full driving license is essential for travelling to various clients.
11. Location Commutable to Dundee.
12. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK.
13. Communication: the ability to express ideas, send, receive and exchange information clearly
14. Understand and demonstrate an awareness of the link between their role and the business goals..

Job location

This is field based. You will need to be within a commutable distance of Dundee.
