KO2’s client, a global leader in advanced security technologies, is seeking an Electronics Software Engineer to support the development of world‑class protection systems deployed in some of the most secure environments worldwide. The company generates over £50 million in annual turnover and is recognised globally for its expertise in drone defence, blast mitigation, and perimeter protection. The Role
As an Electronics Software Engineer you will work across both hardware and embedded software, playing a key role in the design, development, testing and integration of mission‑critical security systems.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and develop analogue and digital electronic circuits.
* Develop embedded software, balancing time between hardware and firmware design.
* Program and manage microcontrollers for I/O control and system integration.
* Support and participate in high‑security testing, including blast and ballistic validation.
* Work cross‑functionally to deliver fully integrated security systems.
* Contribute to team development through mentoring and knowledge sharing.
What You’ll Bring
* Strong experience in analogue and digital electronics design.
* Proven embedded software development experience (C/C++ preferred).
* Hands‑on experience with microcontrollers and system integration.
* British passport (required for security clearance).
* A passion for developing innovative, high‑reliability systems in low‑volume environments.
