We are seeking
a Flexible Fund Manager to lead and deliver the Hub’s Flexible Fund activities, ensuring strategic benefits are realised, risks are managed, and budgets are delivered effectively. The successful candidate will work closely with colleagues at Oxford and Imperial, including the Hub Director, Hub Manager, Communications Manager, Stakeholder Manager and Innovation Manager. They will also line manage the Flexible Fund Communications & Engagement Coordinator and engage with the wider ecosystem of partner initiatives such as Oxford Net Zero, Undaunted’s Greenhouse Accelerator, and Oxford TORCH. This role will involve overseeing a portfolio of innovative projects, from artist–scientist collaborations to pioneering Pathfinder initiatives, ensuring that they are delivered effectively, achieve meaningful outcomes, and contribute to the wider goals of the Hub. The postholder will work closely with the Hub’s senior leadership and research support teams, line manage the Flexible Fund Communications and Engagement Coordinator, and collaborate with a wide range of partners including artists, universities, cultural organisations, policymakers, funders, and the wider GGR research and innovation community. This is a role for someone with proven experience of managing projects and partnerships at the interface of science, sustainability, and the arts, who thrives in a collaborative environment and can balance strategic oversight with hands-on delivery. You will bring excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and organisational skills, alongside a Master’s degree or higher in a relevant field. A background in climate change or sustainability, and experience delivering creative or knowledge-exchange projects, will be a strong advantage.
