As a Medical Science Liaison (MSL), you will serve as a key scientific expert and field-based ambassador, building strong relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), healthcare professionals (HCPs), and academic institutions across the UK. You will play a pivotal role in scientific exchange, clinical insight gathering, and supporting medical strategy for oncology products in development and on the market.
Key Responsibilities
* Engage with KOLs and HCPs to provide unbiased, scientific information on oncology products and pipeline assets
* Support clinical development and real-world evidence initiatives through site engagement and feasibility discussions
* Deliver scientific presentations and participate in advisory boards, congresses, and investigator meetings
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Medical Affairs, Clinical Operations, and Commercial
* Provide field insights to inform medical strategy and evidence generation plans
* Ensure compliance with ABPI Code of Practice and internal SOPs
Candidate Profile
Essential:
* PhD in Life Sciences, Oncology, or related field
* Minimum 2–3 years of MSL experience in oncology
* Deep understanding of oncology therapeutic landscape, clinical trials, and treatment pathways
* Strong communication and presentation skills
* Ability to travel extensively across the UK (up to 70%)
* Fluent in English; additional European languages a plus
Desirable:
* Experience in solid tumors or hematologic malignancies
* Prior experience in a biotech or start-up environment
* Familiarity with HTA processes and NHS structure
