The Firm Our client is a leading international law firm with a strong London presence and a global network of offices. As part of the continued development of its Resource Management function, the firm is now seeking a Senior Resource Manager to join the Practice Management team. The Opportunity This is a 12-month fixed-term contract supporting the EPC practice. The Senior Resource Manager will play a key role in embedding a structured, transparent approach to work allocation and utilisation, working closely with Partners, Practice Group Leads and fee earners across the practice. Key responsibilities include: Leading work allocation across EPC teams, ensuring fair and skills-based distribution of work Balancing utilisation across teams and locations to improve efficiency and collaboration Supporting diversity, inclusion and wellbeing through equitable allocation practices Allocating resources against client rates to support profitability Building trusted relationships with Partners, PGLs and Team Leads Attending team and partner meetings to support best practice Working closely with fee earners to understand capacity, skills and development needs Producing weekly utilisation and capacity reports Analysing forecast vs actual utilisation and identifying trends and risks Tracking holidays and capacity to proactively recommend reallocation Requirements Experience in resource management or work allocation within a legal or professional services environment Confident working with data, MI and Excel Experience with resource management systems advantageous Vacancy Highlights Competitive salary Hybrid working: 3 days in the office For a confidential discussion regarding this Senior Resource Manager opportunity, please contact Birchrose Associates.
