About the Role
The role holder is accountable for supporting internal stock movements & delivery logistics across the region. The role is responsible for working with RFID stock management systems, and co-ordinating regional deliveries, sterilisation works, statutory testing, and covering absences in other logistics roles as required.
The role holder will be a point of coordination for hands-on logistics and help to create, implement, & progress operational processes, including the rollout of RFID systems and hub-and-spoke stock distribution, ensuring accurate stock handling and accountability.
We are looking for someone who can:
* Carry out scheduled and ad hoc deliveries of stock, consumables, and equipment between all locations within the region.
* Safely load and unload items, including handling delicate or high-value medical devices, such as handpieces and diagnostic equipment.
* Ensure all items are secured appropriately during transit and delivered in a timely, damage-free condition.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues and managers to ensure efficient delivery.
* Use RFID systems to log collection and delivery of stock items, ensuring accurate records of stock movement.
* Identify and report any stock discrepancies, missing items, or delivery issues to the Stock Coor-dinator or Procurement Team.
* Assist in stock counts, reconciliation, and storage organisation at the hub when required.
* Support with the movement and tracking of clinical Handpieces, ensuring adequate provision across the region, adhering to correct tracking and logging procedures.
* Maintain accurate tracking of stock using RFID systems.
* Maintain accurate records of asset movements, mileage, & other relevant reporting data.
* Use basic IT systems to maintain accurate records of deliveries, stock movements, & daily activities, ensuring timely response to emails and communications.
What you’ll bring to the role:
* Understanding of basic logistics and stock management principles (e.g. stock rotation, storage, usage monitoring, just-in-time stock system).
* Awareness of relevant Health & Safety requirements (manual handling, vehicle safety, PPE use).
* Experience driving long distances.
* Confident driving LWB vehicles in varied environments.
* Experience in warehousing or distribution centre operations.
* Basic mechanical awareness (vehicle checks: tyres, fluids, warning lights).
* Skilled in coordinating with multiple teams or logistics staff
