Art Teacher – Creative and Inclusive Secondary School – Bath – September Start
An exciting opportunity has opened for a creative and committed Art ECT to begin their teaching career at a vibrant and inclusive secondary school in the heart of Bath. The school is celebrated for its creative ethos, its warm and diverse student body, and its outstanding provision in the arts. Art plays a central role in the school’s identity, from exhibitions and student showcases to cross-curricular projects and public displays.
As part of the Art & Design department, you will be joining a passionate and well-supported team that fosters student confidence, creativity, and cultural awareness. The school embraces traditional techniques and new media, offering a broad and exciting curriculum to all learners.
Why This School?
A well-established ECT programme with specialist support in creative subjects
Dedicated studio spaces, kilns, digital art tools, and gallery-style exhibition areas
Regular arts weeks, student shows, and opportunities for public engagement
A senior leadership team that values expressive subjects and cross-disciplinary creativity
Your Role as an Art ECT:
You’ll teach across KS3 and KS4, supporting students in developing their technical skills, independent ideas, and personal style. Lessons will span drawing, painting, sculpture, digital media, and critical analysis. You will also contribute to extra-curricular opportunities such as portfolio clubs and collaborative art projects.
Who Should Apply?
We are looking for a newly qualified Art teacher with a degree in Fine Art, Illustration, or related fields, and QTS. You’ll be enthusiastic, adaptable, and passionate about fostering student creativity. Experience of mixed-media or digital art techniques is a plus, but what’s essential is an inspiring, inclusive teaching style.
This is the perfect launchpad for a creative teaching career in one of the South West’s most artistic and inclusive schools. Apply now for a September 2025 start in Bath.
