Job Title: Lecturer (Teaching) in Psychology
We are seeking to appoint a full-time Lecturer (Teaching) for a three-year period to contribute to undergraduate psychology education in the BSc/MSci Psychology program. The successful candidate will lead efforts to enhance the academic skills seminar curriculum in Year 2, focusing on peer-learning and community building among students.
The role involves managing a team of postgraduate teaching assistants (PGTAs) responsible for weekly small-group teaching, including training PGTAs in using learning resources, facilitating seminars, and providing feedback on assessments.
The post requires approximately 85% of time dedicated to teaching, promotional, and administrative duties, and 15% to scholarship and research to support research-based education and professional development. These allocations are indicative and may evolve.
This is a full-time position starting from 1st September, with consideration for part-time, flexible, and job share arrangements. The role is eligible for hybrid working with a minimum of 80% on-site presence.

About You
The ideal candidate will hold a PhD in Psychology (or be in the process of obtaining one before starting), possess strong knowledge of core undergraduate psychology curricula, and have experience teaching undergraduate psychology. A commitment to inclusive pedagogy, evidence-informed teaching practices, and innovative student engagement approaches is essential. Excellent communication skills and the ability to design and deliver effective lectures and small-group sessions are also required.
