Job Description
The Independent Football Regulator (IFR) has been established to protect and promote the sustainability of English football, for the benefit of fans and the local communities football clubs serve. The IFR will help improve financial sustainability of clubs, ensure resilience across the leagues, safeguard the heritage of English football, operate a licensing regime; set corporate governance standards; monitor, protect, and promote financial resilience; and enforce compliance with requirements on financial regulation, club ownership and directors, fan engagement, and heritage protection. It has powers to prohibit clubs from joining competitions that are not fair or meritocratic, or that threaten the heritage or sustainability of English football.
About the role
We are looking for an Executive Assistant to join the supervision & enforcement team at the IFR. The role will support the director and two deputy directors in oversight of the supervision and enforcement teams, coordinate their time through diary and inbox management, arrange travel, manage stakeholders, and support governance processes.
Essential Requirements
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders
* Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively
* Proactive and resilient negotiator, with a track record of anticipating potential problems and mitigating or resolving them
* IT literate, with proficiency in Microsoft Office
Desirable Skills
* Experience working within a regulator, central bank, or a regulated financial institution
* Experience in private offices in public institutions
