The Opportunity
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Qualified SEN Teacher to join a wonderful team. The ideal candidate will be an experienced and dynamic educator with a deep understanding of various special educational needs. This position is perfect for a Teacher who wants to contribute to a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere, designing and delivering tailored lessons that help students overcome challenges and achieve their personal best. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the educational journeys of our students.
Your Key Responsibilities
* Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons for students with a range of special educational needs.
* Assess and track student progress, adapting teaching strategies to meet individual learning goals.
* Create a supportive and stimulating classroom environment that promotes well-being and a love for learning.
* Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with students, parents, and other professionals.
* Work closely with teaching assistants and support staff to ensure a cohesive and effective approach to student support.
* Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to provide updates on student progress and involve them in their child's education.
* Participate in professional development opportunities and school-wide initiatives.
What We're Looking For
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
* Experience teaching students with special educational needs in a school setting.
* A strong understanding of SEN frameworks, assessment, and strategies.
* A patient, empathetic, and resilient nature.
* Excellent classroom management skills.
* The ability to be flexible and resourceful.
* A collaborative spirit and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
