To ensure that the minor electrical problems such as bulbs/plugs are safely dealt with. To be aware of the measures necessary for larger problem solving, with regard to safety at all times.
To be able to deal with day to day plumbing problems, such as washers, minor blockages, etc. To be aware of the measures necessary for the larger problem solving.
To carry out such carpentry, painting and general minor decorating jobs as may occur.
To understand the central heating system boilers and be able to troubleshoot.
To carry out general maintenance as requested with regard to the Health & Safety at Work Act.
To assist in the general hygiene of the external buildings, for example the refuse area.
To assist in the general hygiene of the internal building, for example carpet cleaning as necessary.
To drive the company vehicle as necessary. For example, outings, transfers of residents/ equipment.
To undertake the delivery of specimens as requested by medical/nursing staff. The collection of prescriptions and collection of drugs form chemists as required.
To complete the required paperwork, recording daily, weekly, monthly tasks etc
To undertake any other duties as and when required.
