RegisteredVeterinary Nurse at Pet Doctors Woking for Maternity Leave Cover – Up to £30,000 per annum DOE (Full or Part time hours considered)

We are a busy 24hr practice that has our own OOH service andall the modern equipment expected to be able tosupport your role, including 2 theatres, a dental room, with digital imaging, endoscope/ultrasound room, and a X-Ray room. Our large team is made upof 6FTE Vets and 2 P/T Vets. We also are lucky to have the support of our 6 RVNs, 4 SVNs and 2 PCAs plus an experienced team of receptionists. With a wide range of unique cases, this is a great practice to enhance experience and skills

We are searching for a dedicated RVN who thrives in busy, fast paced environments to join the team at Pet Doctors Woking to cover maternity leave on a 12 month fixed term contract – Accommodation is available if needed.

The successful candidate will be happy to work in different areas such as consults, dispensary, operations and in-patients. Consideration can be made for a consultation or dispensary only nurse.

The shift times include:

7.45am – 7.15pm 4 or 5 days a week - 1:6 Saturdays and 1:6 Bank holidays

The role is for 40 hours a week, however we are also happy to consider part time hours.

A word from the manager: This busy practice supports a diverse group of great people from front of house to the clinical team. For such a large practice we are really collaborative and engage in regular interactive meetings to ensure support and community is felt throughout. I am committed to ensure upskilling and developing our clinic to ensure Patient care is met to the highest standard. I enjoy teaching and developing the team. Development and growth requests are met and supported and encourage career progression throughout CVS to ensure job satisfaction is met and we keep the best within our CVS sites.

The RVN role includes:

* To work as an active member of the clinical support team.
* To fully participate in the Nursing rota as directed by the Head Nurse.
* To provide the highest standards of client service and patient care
* To ensure the timely and effective communication with all colleagues working in the Practice.
* To provide assistance and support for the Veterinary Surgeons within the Practice environment.
* To comply with all professional regulations, legislations and standards associated with independent accreditation such as the RCVS practice standards scheme.
* To comply with CVS's H&S policies and attending relevant training as required.

To be considered for this exciting role:

* RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse
* Proven GP skills and surgery experience
* Eagerness to learn and develop
* Clinical coaching experience or interest preferred but not essential
* Strong focus on exceptional patient care
* Team player with excellent communication skills
* Self-motivated and able to motivate others
* Positive, enthusiastic approach to tasks
* Strong organisational and attention-to-detail skills
* Ability to handle difficult situations with tact
* Ability to balance study and work
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
