Job Description - Roof Coatings Technical Sales Manager Central England
+ Talented, experienced individuals based in the middle of England (central, Midlands, Northern Powerhouse) to support and enhance sales and service with the contractors we supply Roof and Cladding coatings systems to.
This role will really suit someone who enjoys getting out there and talking to contractors, specifiers and building owners. The right person will be on hand to support contractors with live jobs as well as using their initiative to nurture and grow accounts by being visible, knowledgeable on the systems we provide, dependable and proactive – service and going above and beyond is key.
The role will suit someone who wants to be part of an experienced team that brings together shared knowledge to expand contractor relationships, exceed customer expectations and develop solutions to better the service element of the company.
+ A Coatings Sales role with hands-on-technical experience. Been responsible for selling specifications to surveyors for industrial building refurbishments.
+ This is a field role that requires;
On-the-job Contractor training
Inspections of work carried out by contractors to a satisfactory level in order that warranties can be issued
Building strong relationships with existing and prospective customers (either contacts of your own or leads identified or provided) to build customer loyalty
Selling systems, or supporting products to the contractors you are visiting
Writing reports for initial site visits, specifications and checking on progress and quality of customer projects. Keeping contractor accounts updated on the database to share with head office
+ Not a prerequisite, but ideally, has the experience of the application of roof/building coatings, but wants a more relationship building and support sales role
Enjoys building partnerships with the contractors doing the work
Is motivated to identify, explore and develop customer relationships
Is motivated by mutual service recognition – the business is built upon providing exemplary customer service, which leads to deeper customer relationships which in turn is reflected in a bonus scheme
Can work independently, manage their own diary, spot sales opportunities and act upon them, whilst keeping communications fluent with the Senior Contract Manager and the office team
Is comfortable using Office computer systems, a simple database and cloud-based apps
Is detail-oriented and organised, with the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
Can provide insights into projects and products that are listened to, valued and acted upon.
Is interested in eco focused systems that can support the refurbishment of a building from top to bottom. 5+ years of experience in the industrial and construction coatings industry

~ Competitive salary between £45,000 to £55,000
~ Bonus 50% OTE
